National Association of Real Estate Companies

The Association is comprised of representatives of publicly and privately owned real estate companies, significant subsidiaries of publicly owned companies and public accounting firms.  Since 1977, NAREC has provided a forum for real estate companies to deal with current issues vital to the real estate industry including financial accounting, tax management and corporate and property operations.  NAREC is governed by its Board of Directors; However, all activities are arranged and guided by standing committees which include:

• Tax Committee
• Financial Accounting Standards Committee
• Financial Management Committee
• Information Technology Committee
• Membership Committee 

The future will bring many changes and challenges to financial managers of real estate companies.  This will create many profitable opportunities for the members of the Association and for the Association to, in turn, contribute to each member's success.  Through the strong relationships between and effective communication among the firms that NAREC membership promotes, concerns of the real estate industry can be more clearly and uniformly communicated.  The Directors and members of NAREC would like to invite anyone involved with the finanacial management of real estate companies to actively participate in the organization to further such goals.
